Together, Team Timberwolf is offering the safest, most reliable and technically advanced vehicle for TAPV with a comprehensive industrial regional benefits program.
Force Protection and CAE are teamed to compete for the Canadian Forces Tactical Armoured Patrol Vehicle (TAPV) project. Force Protection is offering the Canadian Forces a variant of the proven Cougar 6 x 6 wheeled combat vehicle to meet TAPV requirements. As the main Canadian partner, CAE will have overall responsibility for the comprehensive in-service support (ISS) solution, including: vehicle operator and mission training systems; engineering information environment; fleet management services; systems engineering support; and lifecycle management and integrated logistics support services. CAE will also be responsible for assembling a pan-Canadian team of companies to develop and support any country-specific requirements for Canada's replacement fleet of tactical armoured patrol vehicles.
Elbit Systems Land and C4I Dual Remote Weapon Station (DRWS) is the DRWS of choice for Team Timberwolf and was chosen based on its superior performance, reliability and ease of integration. Elbit Systems entered into an exclusive relationship with Force Protection in an alliance that underscores the strength of Force Protection; their products, team and overall corporate governance and financial stability. This relationship will provide the best technical solution for the TAPV program while delivering tremendous industrial benefits for Canada.
Lockheed Martin Canada is another important member of Team Timberwolf. Lockheed Martin Canada will be providing the electronic architecture for the vehicle.
Marmen signs a MoU with Force Protection Industries and joins the team to provide manufacturing and machining services for the capsule of the Timberwolf.
ArmorWorks will provide an array of survivability solutions to include energy attenuating seats, and Malley Industries will perform final vehicle assembly.
